First or 'second-chance' homebuyer withdrawals

If you have a locked mysuper account, and you've made locked contributions to mysuper (or been a member of a KiwiSaver scheme) since before 02/04/2016, you may be able to withdraw your 'locked in' retirement savings from mysuper to put towards buying your first home.

If you do not have a locked mysuper account, you are not able to make a first homebuyer withdrawal from mysuper.

Your application can only be completed by an enrolled barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.

Your application must be submitted at least 10 working days before the ‘finance date’ or ‘settlement date’. There are no circumstances where a late application can be accepted.
