The return figures here show how much this fund has grown in value on average each year over the past years. This is after fees and taxes have been taken out.

Returns are the money that comes back to you from investing. These returns figures can be both positive and negative. Positive returns typically come from your investment becoming worth more, either because someone is willing to pay more for it, or from the money it spins off (such as profits you share when you invest in a company).

Chasing returns always brings a certain amount of risk with it. The higher returns you seek, the more risk you have to take on, and past performance is not a guarantee of future returns.

How our investment funds compare

When you're investing for the long term, it's natural to want to know how your fund stacks up. At mysuper, we're proud of our track record over more than three decades - and we also believe in being transparent. That's why we provide an easy way to compare mysuper's investment performance and risk (volatility) with other major KiwiSaver providers for the past 10 years relative to their peers 3 with our interactive scattergraph.

This matters because long-term investing is about balancing growth and risk. Our investments funds are designed to deliver steady, competitive returns while managing volatility - so members can feel confident that their investment is working hard, without taking unnecessary risks.
