Why choose mysuper?
mysuper has many of the same benefits of KiwiSaver, but with more choice and flexibility. As your life changes, your mysuper account can change with you, all the while ACC will continue to contribute 9% of your salary (before tax).
- Unlocked or locked contributions, you decide Shape your own account from 100% unlocked to 100% locked, or have a combination of both. Take your pick.
- Benefit from lower fees Because we’re not for profit we only charge you what your account costs to manage, nothing more!
- Get a Government contribution, for free You'll enjoy a Government contribution of up to $521.46 each year when you make locked-in employee contributions. Bonus.
- Choose your contribution rate Whether it's 0%, 3%, our maximum of 85% or something in between? You can pick the contribution rate that suits you from day one, and still receive ACC's 9% contribution.
- Get an insurance add-on You can add life and income protection insurance, with lower premiums and covering pre-existing conditions if added within 90 days of joining ACC.
- Withdraw your retirement savings if you're a first homebuyer Withdraw some of your locked mysuper savings to help you buy your first home. That’s helpful, and worth considering.
- Take a babybreak from fees Apply for a break from paying your annual fund charges before you go on parental leave. That’s unique, and thoughtful too.
- Invest your retirements savings, how you'd like We offer you two ways to manage how your retirement savings are invested, depending on what you'd like: easyselect (automatic) or selfselect (manual.) There are no default funds.
- Choose what you do, when you go When you leave ACC, you can keep your retirement savings in mysuper, reinvest them into KiwiSaver, or take eligible money as a lump sum. It's up to you. (Locked mysuper savings must remain in a scheme of your choice, like mysuper until retirement).
- Fancy a chat? Nothing beats being able to talk. We have people at ACC visiting branches, sharing information about mysuper, and just generally being there for you when you need it. Just ask.
